But ready or not, the calendar doesn’t lie… and it’s rushing by way too fast for our liking! All of our friends who are posting “First Day of School” pictures are really driving home the point! But there are still a few events on our summer calendar coming up – make sure you don’t miss them if you’re in the area!
The Jefferson County Fair did not disappoint! The Taiko performance alone lasted almost an hour (thank you Japan Creative Arts!). We also saw alpaca agility, ducklings that were refusing to go down their slide (hey, it was a bit chilly!), horses and their riders playing musical chairs, kids on a mechanical bull, lots of amazing arts and crafts, and of course had to indulge in some fair food. We are already making plans to go back next year. 🙂
Our ghost tours (given by a good friend, Cap’n Mike) are focused on the history of Port Townsend, and the legends that give rise to all of the ghost stories that abound in the locations rumored to be the most haunted in the city. Tours are available for purchase when you make your reservation, or if you decide to add it to your existing reservation, just give us a call!
Momma deer has taken to hanging out in our parking lot… for HOURS at a time. We’re not sure if she’s taking a break from baby, or if this is her way of encouraging independence, but we’re happy she’s chosen our property as her resting spot. It’s a little mind-boggling how still she can be for so long, but that’s probably why she’s made it to fawn-bearing age!
We’ll close this newsletter out with a perfect summer morning view. Get out there and enjoy the last days of summer before it’s too late!
