Construction Update

We are truly grateful to share that the construction near us is done!  Well, at least until March or so… 🙂  Left and right turns to and from State Route 104 (the main highway that crosses Hood Canal Bridge) are open, although there are still construction barriers guiding you along a slightly different path than before in preparation for the roundabout that will be finished in the spring.

Turkey Day is near - but what about the leftovers???

With apologies to our vegetarian and vegan friends…
And our Canadian friends who already celebrated!

We see so many great recipes this time of year for Thanksgiving Day preparations… but not so many for how to dress up those leftovers!  Tracy’s mom gifted us this one many years ago, and we (ok, Adrian!) make it faithfully every year.  It works for whatever kind of turkey you were lucky enough to have – anything from oven-baked to smoked to grilled to fried – but one word of warning: it really does require that Pepperidge Farm cornbread stuffing.  It’s just not as good with anything else!  And yes, it really is as easy as it looks!

3 lbs cooked turkey, unsalted
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
8 oz Pepperidge Farm cornbread stuffing
1 stick melted butter
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup hot water over broth

Tear or cut meat into bite size pieces in 9×13 pan.  Layer ingredients above one at a time and stir slightly.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 min.  Cool slightly and serve.

Pro tip: Save this recipe for year-round use by substituting chicken for turkey!

It's That Time of Year!

Whether you’re a enthusiastic Black Friday shopper, or wouldn’t be caught dead leaving your house that day… we’re here for you!   Small businesses like ours depend on sales during this holiday season, and we would love your support!

Experiences make great gifts… why not start with a gift certificate for a stay with us?  We’re more than happy to work with your giftee to help them find activities in the area that suit their tastes, or if they prefer to stay here and do nothing more than relax, we’re set up perfectly for that as well!  You can buy gift certificates directly from our website here, or you can call us at 360-207-1909 if you have any questions.
